About Us

Linked to the “Learn 50+ at CLL" range of classes run by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at Strathclyde University, the Learning in Later Life Students’ Association (3Ls) is unique in Britain.
Our Association was formed over 30 years ago by students who had attended classes at the CLL and 3Ls members enjoy a range of membership benefits, including Club programmes, Lunchtime Talks, social outings and events. Our office is based in the CLL, within the Graham Hills Building which is also where many of our activities take place.

3Ls Background

The 3Ls Students' Association was founded in 1988 by a group of students who had benefitted from classes, with the support of Strathclyde University. Since the 3Ls was founded, we have depended on members who volunteer their time to organise a variety of activities which enhance our lifelong learning journey, in a friendly environment. We hope that a look through our website will help you discover more about the benefits of 3Ls membership.
