French

The French Club, the longest running of all the 3Ls clubs, provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for members to listen to presentations on a variety of topics, current, cultural and linguistic.

Talks are delivered in French by club members, invited speakers and often students from Strathclyde University or a local secondary school and are accessible to all levels of speaker. After each presentation there will be time for members and speakers to enjoy some cheese and wine.

We meet on the third Friday of the month from October to April in the Graham Hills building, from 12.15 to 2.00pm. We also have occasional meetings outside of the programme to have a lunch or see a French film.

Your membership fee for the club also gives you access to the facilities of the Alliance Française and its resources. Our Club subscription in £10 per annum or £30 to include catering.
