German Club

Talks on a wide variety of topics with audio visual presentations will be given in German with regular reprises in English so we hope people with all levels of fluency will enjoy participating. Meetings will be held on the first Friday of the month at 12.15 – 2.15 pm. A meeting will be held on the second Friday of the month in January 2027 due to the University being closed for the Christmas / New Year holiday.

The venue for club meetings (except January 2027) will be Room GH 742 (The Conference Room) on the 7th Floor of the Graham Hills Building. Please note that the January 2027 meeting will be held in Room GH 739. After each presentation there will be an opportunity to socialise over tea, coffee and biscuits.

Our usual February meeting by Zoom with Sabine Schlueter of the Goethe Institute in Munich has not yet been confirmed.

As well as the Club speaker programme we intend to have German Club lunches in January or February and in May 2027. The dates and venues will be decided in consultation with the membership.

After joining the 3Ls Association you are very welcome to join the German Club. Our club fee is £15 per annum.
