German

Talks on a wide variety of topics with audio visual presentations will be given in German with regular reprises in English so we hope people with all levels of fluency will enjoy participating. Meetings will be held on the first Friday of the month at 12.15 – 2.15 pm. The April 2026 meeting will be on the second Friday of that month due to the Easter holiday. 

The venue for club meetings (except February 2026) will be Room GH 742 (The Conference Room) on the 7th Floor of the Graham Hills Building. After each presentation there will be an opportunity to socialise over tea, coffee and biscuits. 

Our February meeting will be by Zoom when Sabine Schlueter of the Goethe Institute in Munich will deliver a presentation from Germany. 

As well as the Club speaker programme we intend to have German Club lunches in January and May 2026. These will probably take place on the second Friday of those months. The venues will be decided in consultation with the membership. 

After joining the 3Ls Association you are very welcome to join the German Club. Our club fee is £15 per annum.
